Customization Type Settings

WorldServer offers the ability to customize many components to best fit your particular environment. The dropdown on the Management > Administration > Customization page lists any customizations in WorldServer, and lets you add, edit, or delete customized components.

The individual settings pages for customization vary greatly according to type. Some simply prompt you to upload a ZIP file, others require more details.

You might receive custom filters from SDL, or modify your own using the SDK. In either case, you upload them from the Customization page where they can be used in your translation projects.

You can provide your own implementation to take advantage of SMTP features such as SMTP authentication, which the WorldServer default mechanism does not support, as well as to replace SMTP delivery with another delivery technology, such as IM.

Adding a Studio QA Checker profile
The Studio QA Checker profile enables you to verify that the documents you are currently working on meet certain standard criteria such as length and punctuation requirements, trademarks, numbers, and so on, and thus ensure text consistency. The Studio QA Checker profile is inserted into .WSXZ packages and it is used in verifying translators' tasks in SDL Trados Studio. To use a Studio QA Checker profile in WorldServer, first you need to upload it from the location in which SDL Trados Studio exported it.
