Word Breaker

The word breaker SDK component allows you to create and apply custom word breaking algorithms to specific languages. Wordbreaking is critical for identifying word units within content, primarily for searching and word counting.

The word breaker implementations are used by filters and the translation memory technology. Changes to wordbreaking algorithms can impact leverage results against historical translation memory data. Caution should be taken before changing word breaker implementations.

To add a word breaker component

  1. From Management > Administration > Customization, choose Word Breaker from the Custom component type drop-down menu.
  2. Click Add.

    WorldServer displays the Add Custom Word Breaker Component dialog box.

  3. Click Browse. Use the Choose file dialog box to navigate your local directory structure and select the ZIP file containing the word breaker.
  4. Click Open.

    The Choose file dialog box closes and the selected files is listed in theAdd Custom Word Breaker Component dialog.

  5. Click OK.

    WorldServer returns to the Customization page.
