About file type configurations

Management > Linguistic Tool Setup > File Type Groups Setup

File types process the information in project assets to expose the translatable content and to hide the non-translatable content. File type configurations allow you to customize how file types process the information.

Configure some aspects of the markup file types in Management > Linguistic Tool Setup > File Type Groups Setup. You can have multiple file type configurations for each file format.

Once you have created multiple configurations of a file format, you can assign a file type configuration to target files and folders in the project type (Management > Business Rules Linkage > Project Types) or as an Asset Interface System property (in Management > Asset Interface System > View and Change Properties).

Note: If you modify the file type configuration after content has been filtered, the change takes place immediately. After a change, new tasks and ad-hoc mode editing use the new configuration. Old (existing) tasks will continue to be attached to the old segmented document.
