About the Default file type configuration

Management > Linguistic Tool Setup > File Types

Each file type for a particular file format comes with a default configuration. You can modify the default configuration, but you cannot delete it. You can add new configurations for the file format and give them other names than the default. The configurations are assigned to the target assets using AIS properties. If you have a file type set for a particular MIME type (equivalent to a file format), you can assign that file type to an asset in the project type (Management > Business Rules Linkage > Project Types) or on the Change Properties page.

The Help page for configuring each file type describes the default behavior and the available settings.
