Workflow steps

Workflow steps represent a particular action that needs to be taken. WorldServer workflows can contain a number of different types of steps.

Management > Workflow > Workflows:Add > Insert Step

Management > Workflow: <Workflow name> > Launch Workflow Editor > Insert Step

    • Start
    • Finish
    • Cancel

  • Human Step
  • Automatic Step

  • Parallel Sub-Workflow Step

You can add or modify steps in WorldServer in Management > Administration > Customization.

  1. To create a step, in the Workflow Editor:
    • Click Insert > Insert Human Step to add a step taken by a person, or click the Insert Human Step icon.
    • Click Insert > Insert Automatic Step to add a step taken automatically, or click the Insert Automatic Step icon.
    • Click Insert > Insert Parallel Review Step to add a review step performed in parallel with other reviews, or click the Insert Parallel Review Step icon
    • Click Insert > Insert Parallel Sub-Workflow Step to add subordinating workflow that occurs in parallel with other steps, or click the Insert Parallel Sub-Workflow Step icon.
    • Click Insert > Insert Sub-Workflow Step to add a subordinating workflow, or click the Insert Sub-Workflow Step icon.
  2. Place the step within the workflow. Move the cursor to the appropriate location, and click to place it there.
