Importing a Translation Memory

You can load an external translation memory (TM) by importing a file in two steps.

Once you have created or identified the TM into which you want to import the TM file, you select the TM and click one of two Import buttons to load the external TM.

Import TM from TMX File
(Default) WorldServer exports TMs in the TMX format. You can import either a TMX file exported from WorldServer, or one created by a third-party application.
Import TM from Bilingual File
(Optional) WorldServer can also import TM files in the TTX and SDL XLIFF formats. These file formats can be exported from SDL Trados Studio TMs. The enable_import_bilingual_files setting in the tm.properties file determines whether or not you can see this button.

The actual import takes two steps in either case. In the first step, you specify the TM file you want to import. In the second, you specify the language codes for the import. Separate help topics in the online help describe the import processes.
