Creating a Quote for a Client

Typically, a Client Manager responds to requests for quotes that were created by Client users in TransPort. Occasionally, a Client Manager may create a quote on behalf of a Client. For example, a Client may email or phone the Client Manager to request a quote for a translation project. After saving the quote, you can enter questions, comments, or requests in the Enter note for Quote <Quote name> change log dialog box. This note appears in the Change Log section located at the bottom of the Quote page, and is a way of communicating with the next person handling the quote.
