The procedure for searching for and replacing TM Entries

  1. In Tools > Translation Memories, select the translation memory or TM group in which you want to search.
  2. Click Search and Replace.
  3. Type the text for which to search.
  4. Type the text with which to replace the previous text.
  5. Select whether to search in the source or target and the appropriate source or target language.
  6. If you want to replace whole words, numbers, and non-alphanumeric characters, check the Whole Words check box.
  7. If you want your search to be case sensitive, check the Match Case check box.
  8. Specify a maximum number of hits that will be returned in the Search and Replace result set.
Note: The maximum number of hits corresponds to each target language and not to the overall translation memory. That is, if you specify 10 for the maximum number of hits, and search over 5 locales, a total of 50 hits might be returned: 10 for each locale.
  9. You can optionally click Advanced Search to use translation memories attribute filters.
  10. Click the Search button (the arrow in the little green box).
The Results Pane shows the affected entries, with the old text highlighted in yellow with a line through it, and the replacement text highlighted in green.
  11. Click the check boxes of the entries with text you want to replace and click Apply to Selected Entries to finalize the search and replace.
You can select all of the entries by checking the Source Entry check box.
WorldServer returns a result set, with the text you are searching for highlighted in gray and the replacement text highlighted in green. You can select the segments you want to replace.
