About the Microsoft Word 2007-2013 File Type

By default, the Word 2007-2013 file type recognizes the .docx, . dotx, .docm and .dotm file extensions.

The Microsoft Word 2007-2013 File Type presents the text defined by the settings for translation. Some of the settings for this file type are identical to those of the Word 2003 and RTF File Types, but all are provided here for reference. The file type uses a series of configuration pages for these settings:

Styles — Specifies the text to be excluded from translation, based on the text's style.
Common — Settings applicable to several file types.
Font Mapping — Specify fonts to use in the target document, to replace specified fonts in the source document.

You can configure some aspects of SDL file types in Management > Linguistic Tool Setup > Filter Configurations.
