You can create a file type group by clicking Add on the page. On the File Type Group: New File Type Group page, give
the group a name and description, and then click Add to add entries.
Each entry will consist of a MIME Type, a file type, and a file type configuration.
You can assign the file type group to a folder as an AIS property,
in the
File Type Configuration list of the
Change Properties window.
Note: You cannot assign file type groups at the asset level; you can only
assign them at the folder level.
After you have assigned a
file type group to an AIS folder, when WorldServer segments an asset,
it determines from this
File Type
Configuration AIS property whether the value is a file type
group (as opposed to a valid file type configuration or no value at all).
If the value is a file type group, the group is searched for an entry
that contains the MIME type for the asset. If it finds that MIME type,
the associated file type and file type configuration in that entry are used
for the segmentation.
