To
delete a quote, select it by checking the check box next to it in
the Quotes List () and click
Delete. You can delete only quotes that have been abandoned
(that is, their status is
Abandoned). If you try to delete a quote that has another
status, you get a message like the following:
Please select only abandoned Quotes. Currently were found 1 non-abandoned Quote(s).
If a quote is referenced by any other object in WorldServer, the
quote will be disabled instead of deleted. Note the following differences:
- A disabled quote does not appear
in quote selection lists, for example, you cannot select a disabled
quote when creating a new project.
To prevent WorldServer processes
(like workflow tasks) from getting into an invalid state when one
of the objects it is processing is deleted, WorldServer keeps the
object in the database, but removes it from view. Essentially, the
object has been disabled from further use, but is still available
to running (or scheduled) processes.
- A deleted quote does not appear
anywhere in the system.
