For example, there is an existing project called
Software for French and German. The translator has already started working on this project. However, there is an update to one of the files. Rather than creating a new project, you can add the updated file to the existing project.
If the translator begins to work on the outdated task, a warning appears saying that the source asset has been updated. The translator can delete the outdated task, and instead work on the new task.
Note: The
Add to Project feature cannot be used to add updated assets for active tasks to ongoing projects. The
Add to Project feature can be used for adding new assets to projects. However, if you try to use
Add to Project for existing assets, you will get the following message:
You can use the Task Update functionality to tell WorldServer to pick up the changed asset.
To add changed assets to an active project, see the "Project Update" topic.
