The attribute filters can be either active during all Browser Workbench activities (until they are deactivated), or not active. Browser Workbench supports two independent attribute filters: a translation memory filter and a terminology database filter, which filter the translation memory and terminology database matches for each segment. The active filters also affect how the Document Tools like Reapply TM or Pretranslate work (Browser Workbench Tools menu).
At the right side of the Browser Workbench top control bar, there are two controls for choosing and activating translation memory and terminology database filters. When the translation memory or terminology database filter control is grayed, there is no active filter selected. The controls' tool tips indicate which filter is active, if any. When a filter becomes active, the state of the translation memory or terminology database match controls next to each segment may change to "no matches/no entries" if the filter logic eliminates them.
