Adding a Perforce mount

Make sure you have prepared the Perforce environment, as described in the WorldServer Administrator Guide.

  1. From the Management > Asset Interface System > AIS Mounts page, click Add.
  2. In the Generic Configuration area:
    1. Supply a descriptive name.
    2. From the Type list, select Perforce.
  3. Specify the properties described in the following table:
    Property Type Description
Perforce Server Text field Hostname or IP address of the Perforce server or its proxy (if applicable).
Perforce Port Text field Port on which the Perforce server or its proxy listens.
User Text field User name to use when connecting to the Perforce server. WorldServer performs all Perforce operations as this user.
Password Text field Password for the Perforce user, if required.
Client Text field Name of the client workspace (clientspec) used to connect to the Perforce server.
Local p4 executable Text field Path to the local Perforce command-line executable file. For example, C:\Program Files\Perforce\p4.exe. Do not use P4Win.exe, the executable for the graphical interface.
  4. Click Save.
WorldServer returns to the refreshed Management > Asset Interface System > AIS Mounts page. You can now view your mount and content from Explorer.
