Adding a useful link

  1. Click Add from the Management > Administration > Useful Link Setup page.
  2. In the Useful Link: New page, enter a descriptive name. (Required)
For example, enter, "ABC User Reference Guide." This name displays in the Useful Links section.
  3. Enter an optional description.
WorldServer appends the description to the link name, for example: ABC User Reference Guide - A reference guide for translation projects.
  4. Under For WorldServer, specify one or more locales, workgroups, and workflow roles appropriate for the link.
Note that you must select at least one locale, workgroup, and workflow role for this link to display on the WorldServer Home page. For example, choose:
    • Locales: German
    • Workgroups: TransPort
    • Workflow Roles: Administrators
Based on these selections, Client Managers and other administrators in WorldServer can view and access links targeted for TransPort users if they have German locale user permissions. User permissions are set up in Management > User Setup > Users > <name>.
  5. Under For TransPort, select one or more Clients.
You must select at least one Client for this link to display on the TransPort Home page. Users who belong to the selected Clients can view and access this link.
  6. Click Save.
