By using the export feature, you can copy the objects in a WorldServer configuration from one server to another. It is especially useful if you have configured WorldServer on a test system and you want to start production work on another server using the same configuration. This is often referred to as
deployment.

Go to

From the
Object Type list, select the object type whose objects you want to export.

Optional: If you want to export more than one type of object, select the
Export list check box.
Thus, you can see the objects you have selected as you move from object type to another, creating a complete list of all the objects you want to export.

Select the objects you want to export.

When finished, click
Next.

On the
Export Objects - Step 2 of 2 page, choose one of the following options:
- Primary objects only – to export only the objects you selected.
- Include referenced objects – to export the objects you selected, as well as and all the other objects they reference. Referenced objects are marked with a star next to their names.

Click
Export.

After the objects have been exported, in the new dialog box, click

Specify the name and the location of the file, and then click
.
You can now import the file to another server.
