The translation memory treats
numeric text (dates, times, and so on) as recognized tokens and translates
these automatically.
For dates and times, you can configure SDL products to specify automatic
localization settings. If there is no match, the source is not translated.
Note: Penalties are specified in the tm.properties file.
For example, assume the translation
memory has a translation for:
- I ate 5 apples on 5 October 1997
Assume the presented
text is:
- I ate 6 apples on 7 November 2010.
WorldServer records
an exact match for the presented source text, applies any localization
rules and gives a 100% match minus any specified penalty.
