Applying a label

A label is an identifier for a specific version or set of versions. For example, you might use a label to identify the version of a document that was reviewed or to identify the version of each file that contributed to a specific build. With a mount for a versioned connector configured, you can apply an existing label or you can choose to create a new label type for the mount and apply it to your asset selection.

  1. In Explorer, select the asset or assets to which to apply a label.
  2. Choose Versioning > Assets > Apply Label.
  3. Select the label to apply. You can only apply one label at a time.
  4. Check the recursive check box to apply the label to the asset selection and all its children.
  5. Click OK.
