How It Works
In this workflow:
- The
Segment Asset action applies the translation memory to the assets and identifies ICE and 100% matches.
- The workflow locks all segments identified as ICE matches.
- In the
Translate step, the translator is restricted from modifying the translations for any of the locked segments, that is, the segments that have already been translated and reviewed.
- In the
Review step, the reviewer might approve most of the translations, but reject a few. The reviewer can choose to lock all approved segments and leave the rejected segments unlocked.
- When the
Translate step is revisited, just the rejected segments are unlocked and modifiable; the approved segments are locked.
- In the
Review step, the Reviewer may approve the translation of all segments.
- In the
Unlock Segments step, all segments are unlocked and become modifiable again.
- In the
Save step, the new target asset is generated and the TM is updated.
