Segmented Asset Editor

The Segmented Asset Editor allows you to edit source assets and tasks directly. The asset is segmented and is shown in the Segmented Asset Editor. Use the Segmented Asset Editor if an asset has a locale set up and its media type has a file type associated with it.

If an asset does not meet these requirements, the Segmented Asset Editor is not available, and the Freeform Editor appears instead with these constraints:

If there are multiple instances of the selected asset (the source locale instance and one or more target locale instances), select the instance to work on.

The following table describes how to work with the Segmented Asset Editor.
