Installing the WorldServer Library Components

WorldServer includes two types of Library Components. You install most Library Components, such as workflow automatic actions, on the Management > Administration > Customization page. However, you install Web Services Library Components by running a procedure that installs them into your WorldServer system.

WorldServer Library Components are included in the wssdk_<version.build>.zip file in your WorldServer distribution. For example, in WorldServer 9 the package was named wssdk_9.0.0.276, where 9.0.0 is the release version and 276 is the build.

To upload a Library Component (other than Web Services) into WorldServer:

  1. Extract the contents of wssdk_<version.build>.zip.
  2. In Management > Administration > Customization, select the component type for the Library Component (for example, Automatic Actions from the “Custom components type” list) and click Add.
  3. Browse to the Library Component you want to upload (for example, <path you unzipped to>\libraries\dist\autoaction_libraries.zip) and click OK.

You will now see the Library Components you uploaded both in the list on the Management > Administration > Customization page and in the page for that type of object. For example, if you uploaded the Library Component automatic actions, you will see them in the list of available actions in the workflow editor when you add an automatic action.

To help you distinguish Library Components from built-in components and other components you have added, the name of each Library Component ends with (LIB).
