A recurrence allows you to schedule or repeat an action, and set the frequency with which to repeat that action.
Within WorldServer you can add, view, modify, or delete recurrences. Note the following:
- If you plan to execute a rule on a recurrence, you need to create the recurrence first.
- Display the Search Panel with the labeled check box. It lets you locate recurrences either by name, or by the next scheduled recurrence (adjusted to your time zone).
- Added recurrences appear in the list in alphabetical order.
WorldServer includes three default recurrences that you can use to customize your business rules, and one system task that you can schedule at your convenience.
- Daily
- Default = every day of the week at 6 AM.
- Hourly
- Default = every hour of every day of the week.
- PWS_TASK
- Default = every day of the week at 1 AM.
- Sets the frequency at which the
periodicWorkStatus table is populated. This table records periodic snapshots of task and project activity, and is used in WorldServer reports.
Note: SDL recommends running this task daily.
- Weekly
- Default = every Monday at 6 AM.
