LDAP Authentication

LDAP stands for Lightweight Directory Access Protocol, an industry standard open client/server protocol for accessing a directory service. WorldServer uses Java built-in LDAP support, , and is compatible with LDAP Version 3. In LDAP authentication, authentication information is supplied in the "bind" operation.

Management > Administration > Authentication: LDAP

To add a valid LDAP user to WorldServer, instruct that user to log on. After the first logon, an administrator needs to set the locales, workgroups, and workflow roles for that user.

WorldServer only reads information from the LDAP server; it does not write data back to it.
