Configuring enhanced authentication

Management > Administration > Authentication: Enhanced

Enhanced authentication allows you to do the following:
  • Force the user to change the password on first login.
  • Disable the user after a specifiable number of consecutive unsuccessful login attempts. The default is 5.
  • Set a password expiration interval. The default is 90 days.
  • Set an interval before password expiration to start warning users at login. The default is 7 days.
  • Set an interval for when users can reuse a password after it expires. The default is 365 days.
  1. Choose Enhanced from the Authentication Type drop-down menu.
  2. Specify whether the user must change his or her password on logging into World Server for the first time.
For user accounts created before enhanced authentication was enabled, users are always forced to change their passwords the first time they log in after enhanced authentication is enabled.
  3. Indicate the number of unsuccessful login attempts that are allowed before a user is disabled.
  4. Indicate how long a password is good for, in days.
  5. Indicate how far in advance, in days, a user is warned that the password will expire.
  6. Indicate how much time must pass, in days, before a password can be reused.
  7. Click Save.
