Adding, viewing and modifying additional charges to a cost model

Sometimes project costs need to include line-item charges and/or discounts. If you want your cost model to include line-item charges and discounts, when you create your cost model click Add in the "Additional Charges and Discounts" section.

Note: Line-item charges are governed by cost model rules. To create cost model rules, navigate to Management > Linguistic Tools Setup > Cost Models Setup > Cost Model Rules.

To specify additional charges or discounts

When modifying a cost model, or a cost model rule, keep in mind that any changes will impact cost and scoping information for all existing projects to which the cost model currently is applied.

  1. Click Add in the Additional Charges and Discounts section.
  2. In the Additional Charges or Discounts dialog, specify a name and description.
  3. Click Add to specify one or more Cost Model Rules (these need to be created in advance in Management > Linguistic Tools Setup > Cost Models Setup > Cost Model Rules).
  4. Select the rule to add, and click Add.
  5. If you have added more than one rule, you can prioritize the rules.
  6. Click Save to save the line-item charge.
