To create a cost model rule
- In , click Add.
- Specify the name of the rule in the General Information section.
- In the Condition Configuration section, you specify the condition(s),
if any, under which the line item charge or discount will take place.
Specify the following:
- Condition - Choose Project Cost
based on price per word (if the charge or discount is conditional,
depending on the project cost) or No condition required (if the charge
or discount does not depend on project cost).
- Value - If you specified a condition,
specify the value that will cause the condition to be true. For example,
if the cost model rule specifies a 10% discount for any project costing
more than $25,000, then the value you specify here is 25000 (do not
use currency symbols or commas).
- In the Action Configuration section, select whether the rule is
for a charge or discount, whether it's by a percentage or a flat rate,
and what the numerical value of this charge or discount is. For example,
if the rule is providing a 10% discount, specify discount, percentage,
and 10 (do not use a percentage sign, currency symbols, or commas).
- Click Save.
You can now use the rule for a line item charge or discount in
a cost model.
