WorldServer provides translation
memory and terminology database filters, which handle translation
memory entries and term attributes. Attribute filters allow you to
filter the results of a search or to filter exported data based on
their attributes.
Attribute filters are
available to search with in the and pages with advanced search enabled, via the Advanced link. They
are also available for exporting with in the Export TMX Entries from TM Database
<TM> and Export Entries
from Term Database <TD> dialogs.
To take advantage of
attribute filters, click the Advanced link to reveal
the TM filter or TD filter selector.
The filter selector
allows you to choose an existing filter and use it when searching
or exporting a translation memory or terminology database. It also
provides filter management capabilities, allowing you to modify or
delete the current filter and, if you are doing a TM or TD search,
to create filters.
Note: If you are doing an export, you create filters
in the Attribute Filter Editor.
The list of available filters contains the attribute filters you
created plus any public filters available. Public filters are those
that an authorized WorldServer user has created and designated as
public, causing it to be available to all WorldServer users.
To add a filter, define its criteria (where to search, what operator
to use, and what to search for) and click the Save icon (

). The
Attribute Filter Editor displays. Name the filter, give it a description, if you want, make
it public, and click
Save. You can base a filter
on an existing filter, modify it, and click the Save icon, then rename
it with
Save As New in the
Attribute Filter Editor.
Note: If you are creating or modifying a filter in the export process,
you will define the filter itself in the Attribute Filter Editor.
